Journal of the Thai Medical Informatics Association

–Journal of the Thai Medical Informatics Association (J Thai Med Inform Assoc; JTMI) is the official journal of the Thai Medical Informatics Association (TMI) founded in 1994. The journal publishes biannually peer-reviewed original articles in English and Thai.

–The journal aims to promote the fundamental understanding of healthcare informatics and advance knowledge and application systems in healthcare fields. It covers high-quality original research articles, reviews, case reports, and communications in the area of design, development, implementation, and evaluation of information systems in healthcare fields. It also includes health policy, education, quality, managerial, cognitive and behavioral aspects of healthcare informatics as well as health information infrastructure such as standardization, security, biomedical engineering, and bioinformatics.

–All or part of the JTMI will be indexed in TCI (Thai Citation Index), Medline (PubMed), PubMed Central (PMC), Scopus, and Google Scholar

Special Issue on Asia eHealth Information Network (AeHIN)

Journal of the Thai Medical Informatics Association (JTMI)


SCOPE OF THE SPECIAL ISSUE

The Asia eHealth Information Network (AeHIN) was created by the World Health Organization to promote knowledge exchange and resource sharing on health information systems and eHealth among countries in Asia. AeHIN maintains that better health can be achieved by strengthening evidence-based policies and health systems through better quality and timely health information systems and civil registration and vital statistics. AeHIN further asserts the role of ICT for health as an enabler to improve the flow of information, through electronic means, to support the delivery of quality and equitable healthcare services and management of health systems.

The JTMI Special Issue on AeHIN invites researchers and practitioners to share their experiences with their national-scale eHealth strategies and implementations. The goal is to consolidate the knowledge base and enable the discourse necessary for effective regional health systems.

PAPER SUBMISSION & REVIEW PROCESS

Each paper submission should note that it is intended for the Special Issue on AeHIN and be submitted via online submission system http://tmi.or.th/jtmi/online-submission

The tentative timeline for the special issue is as follows:

  • June 30, 2015: Submission of full papers
  • July 31, 2015: First round review notifications
  • August 31, 2015: Revised papers due
  • September 30, 2015: Final notifications due
  • November 30, 2015: Publication of special issue
